The group working for Hope Community Development Agency working on the house on Dolphin Street. The sledges and the crows.

Amy & Lauren:
Today was a great day to start off our service day.  We split into different groups, Team Habitat and Team Hope.  Team Habitat did weatherizing in a house, while Team Hope demolished a house and loaded a dumpster. Both teams struggled in the beginning but we learned how to suck it up and get through it. We worked as a team...and led the Bullis way! Now off to the beach!  Tune in tomorrow

Today was hard to say the least. My group, the sledge and crowbar crew was a selection of hard workers that knew how to get a job done. To be simple, we had the dirty job, we evicted massive families of cockroaches tore up the foundation of  a hose, beat a cement slab with sledgehammers, and had the neighbor next door assist us in exchange for wood for his new shed. This experience has proven enlightening and I am glad to have helped a stranger fix her home.

The Hope Crew

The Habitat crew in Tyvek suits ready to start work on insulation underneath the house.

Josh is jealous he doesn't have a Tyvek suit.
